Good luck to all participants! I'll watch from the sidelines too - I did the last Rebar challenge in the summer and am moving to the Spirit one in October, after the ongoing Wave of Waves  :woohoo:

Cheers!

I’m excited to see these Rebars in action. I’ll post up my day later,  but here is the Rebar on top of the lunch box, heading to work.

Day 1/30

Used Rebar today at work and gotta say it suits better than Wave in my job. Used file on wooden desk to remove bit paint and hardened wax. Also used Rebar wire cutter today as pic shows.

Day 1:

Today i used the rebar to dismantle an old security cam, to salvage some usefull parts.

The awl was used to pry away the feet, and the screwdriver extension was used to remove the screws. None of the existing screwdrivers could do the job.

I noticed that my local Lowe's did have a Rebar for sale ($56 if I recall correctly ).

Good luck to awl on this challenge. I found the Rebar to be a great challenge multi and it became a firm favorite after my challenge was done.  :tu:

HI Team
I will give this challenge a go as well.
I am really a Wave man having had an EDC  Wave since 1998 .
The Rebar I have is new as it was one from the collection and has never been used.
Lets see how this month goes then. Maybe I can become a convert.
First pic is boring, new and unused.

Have a several  Leathermans but clearly not enough.  Looking to add to the collection whenever She who must be obeyed is not paying attention.

DAY 1

Today I used the large flat driver to open the battery compartment on one of my head-lamps. Had to change out the batteries.

If I pick one up on the way home from work can I play? Also, is it OK that I finish out my GEC challenge in overlap?

I could try do both challnge simultaneously, id love to carry 2 tools at same time and test both on same job and see perform better

Only Tools Matters

I do recall reading that one challenge at a time will be awarded for the period, yet you can participate in both.

I already have a 30 day REBAR badge, learning during that time the REBAR is best suited to my needs.

Followed a previous Spirit challenge, and really fell for SteveC's black tool and pictures shared by all, yet could not justified buying one when I enjoyed the Rebar and ST300 and WAVE for my carry needs.

The REBAR challenge is worth doing if you have a REBAR and have not tested it in your world's activities.

I did and lead me to have these 3, plus a Heritage model still in package.  The SS was the challenge EDC.

Love the Black and Tan  :like:
