Hello everyoneI just want to celebrate with you my first month here (and actually my first 100 posts) I really like how things are working here. It's a really nice and relaxed community: no flames, no "which is better?" threads, no fights. Today it seems a special day. I received 5 knives: 3 111mm (alpineer, picnicker and hunter), a gourmet, and my first swisschamp. Can't wait to be home and clean/smooth/oil themThey were actually 6. The sixth is the one you can see here: https://i.imgur.com/bTBGlVs.jpg. I was hoping it was a climber 84mm. I wasn't sure (as the thread says "first month here", and i bought it before knowing how to recognize them), but after checking the ruler beside it i believed that (look at the two red arrows: 109-25=84mm). It's not. It's a 91mm pre-1991 HUNTSMAN. The seller didn't even said so. I hope i can have my money back at least (28$). So thank you everyone for the welcoming and for the help you gave me so far. And thank you for everything you will teach me in the future

Now, which of those five SAKs is the better?
Thank you everyoneI love you awl Quote from: glenfiddich1983 on October 03, 2018, 04:24:50 PMNow, which of those five SAKs is the better? I don't know. For sure the Hunter is the worse. I cut my finger with the gutting blade the first time i opened it
Bummer! The Hunter would be my first choice of the five.
The gutting blade is for guts, not fingers!
Well, it's a good thing you're using it wrong...

It is a really great community! Generally very respectful, self-policing, and all around pleasant. Glad to have you as a part of it! Unfortunately it drives me to spend more money, ah the curse....
