Can I swap an old model Vic corkscrew on to a new Vic SAK?

What’s up fellas. I have a 3 year old Craftsman that’s found a home in the pool/beach bag, so I want to swap the backside phillips for a corkscrew. The only spare corkscrew I have is from a old donor...I say it’s old because there’s no hook on back of the scissor, and the corkscrew has less turns than on the new SAKs.

Does anyone forsee a problem if I try to swap the old model corkscrew on to the new model SAK?

Old corkscrew with less turns than new corkscrew?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Did i get that wrong...I don’t have it in front of me. I remember it looked different, maybe it was more turns.

REALLY (70’s and earlier) old corkscrews have 5 turns.
Maybe you were thinking of the groove (up until the 90’s)?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

We think the SAAMS blog has the incorrect dates now - See discussion in this thread

Important thing is you can swap as they are the same width
