Day 18 :

Fussing around today. Did work on a fun sewing project, though. Huntsman's scissors came in handy....again. The scissors are easily the most used tool for me at this point in the challenge.  :tu:

Last time we had a plastic bird feeder, found it in pieces.... seems our squirrel took flying leaps at it.

Parade duty today, probably use screwdriver and scizzors mostly.
Nope, no loose flag parts or strings from uniforms to snip.....

:like:  I'm thinking about making some canvas sheaths as soon as I can get an old Singer treadle we have up and running. I've just got to put on a new belt (old one was dry-rotted, and we have a new one ready to go on) and lube it up.

Today, I used the scissors to open the probiotic, cut my fingernails and cut some tape.  The CNC-cut, anodized aluminum bookmark was a giveaway at a meeting for the Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing, in which myself, my classmate, and my instructor were honored for being the first three to complete the one-year Siemens Level 2 program in only 2  months (and my instructor also took the test with us, so technically he was a student that taught himself). I just realized I still don't have an SAK with the Siemens logo on it, most (with the exception of a special white scaled Nomad, the only white Dual Grip 111mm ever made as well as a white scaled Spartan and Tinker and black Classic) are incognito, with only a Siemens etch on the main blade  and are really easy to miss.  But the Nomad is the one I really want, and I've not seen a one for sale.

Day 18
Planning ahead for the holidays.  What do you think of the Black Huntsman and my limited edition brass mini-mag to go with the formal wear for the holiday?  I don't usually carry the brass mag light because it is quite a bit heavier than most lights that size.

Day 19.

Just some crappy bad photos today, because I had to be fast because my daugher wanted to grab the knife.
She needs new shoes and I made a carboard model of her foot.

Step zero: she throws pencil away. Broken tip.
Step one: sharpen pencil.
Step two: draw outline
step three: cut outline

Now we are ready for shopping and fast size tests. the next day.  :ahhh

Day 19 :

Making soup today.

I channeled my inner ThePeacent, and two innocent cauliflowers fell to the Huntsman's blade. (Does this make me a serial Peacenter?)

OK, the Huntsman, or any 91mm SAK, is not a perfect pairing knife. However, it did the work of a pairing knife fairly well, and a chef's knife......within reason. In addition to massacring a couple of cauliflowers, the Huntsman trimmed some carrots and chopped some celery. I drew the line at dicing onions and resorted to using an 8" chef's knife for speed and convenience.

I'm not officially in this challenge, been away too long so I missed this.
But… I'm working the night shift now and of course I'm carrying my Huntsman with me.
It's always on my duty belt, love it.
When I'm in 'civilian' clothes mostly carry a MiniChamp or a Classic SD.
