I had just cause for it. The sub-3" non-locking law is only for when there's no specific reason.

I could be wrong. Anyway... when I was young I had a cast metal catapult and I let go of the wrong end by mistake... I've not touched one since.

But you do have to bare in mind the differences in geography, USA 85 people per square mile, UK 660 per square mile. Plus all land here is owned, no public land
