Nice additions! I know there was some talk of this a while back.

Also, there is a thread out there called tool box Tuesday or something like that or work bag Wednesday or something.

Can that one be moved into the hand tool subject?

I think it's good where it is in the Sheath/Bag forum. Feel free to start a new thread about carry methods for hand tools or something like that  :tu:

Cool ideas for subforums!  :tu:

One nitpicky thing; is there a reason they're basically at the top of the tool forum listings? Since this is primarily a multitool site it seems like it would make more sense to keep the Swiss, LM, Gerber and sog forums at the top.  :dunno:

I think "Tool Talk" should be split.

First section, multitool forums:
multitool brands, sAKnights, cheap and cheerful etc

Second section, dedicated tool forums:
hand tools, power tools, knives, axes (from outdoor forum), lights (flashlights are tools, and don't deserve to hide in non-tool forum)

I think a few things could be better placed, but if you've got other stuff cooking too, then that might change these and any other suggestions I might make.

The only thing I think needs to be done for now is to place them directly below Edged Tools.
But, I am not perturbed by them, being where they're at. A lot of members here(me included) are nutty about hand/power tools. I don't think it would run anyone away from the site.

And thank you for adding the new sub-forums! :salute:

Agree with the flashlight statement, I think a lot of people dont scroll down there and never see it, certainly is a tool, good luck using any of your MT's at night with no light  :ahhh

Maybe the break room could also be divided into separate categories, or at least have some subforums extracted from it, like a Games section?

...or a pen, or a phone, or even a spork... but I think a light is far more of what most of us would consider a tool. It is in my life anyway.

My tool combos usually revolve around a knife, pliers, and light. Sometime it's just what's on my keys, sometimes more. However, from now until around March, I'll probably be using a light more times a day than a knife, pliers, or screwdrivers.

I would.  To me it just makes sense that a multitool focused forum would have the multitool boards the highest on the list.   :tu:

Also, I have this vague recollection that you had told a story in the past of why the SOG forum was at the top

I think it was along the lines of they respected us as a forum and listened to our input from the start, but I may be mistaken.

The order of the forums is not a big deal to me, i don’t really care what order they show up in, as long as they are there.

I would not go dividing the break room up into too many categories, it kind of defeats the purpose of a break room. ( only my opinion of course)

The Axe hole (and include log splitters and dedicated wood saws) is a possibility  ;)
