I will avoid the new sub forums out of protest movement.Seriously.Like Nix is steering into, we can not just start subforums about anything to draw in more people. This place started as a multitool forum and knives in general.Hand tools came along too....Even more speSmurfpillsed hand tools, dremels, other power tools, woodworking, photography etc etc...At this rate we'll lose our true identity.Quality over quantity.Members are interested in woodworking? No problem!Thermometers? Sure! But there are other forums for that.Just my 2c...I honestly don't like this.
Tony's car boot thread, the various axe threads, the traditional knives threads, all great reads, and not multitool oriented. Cooking stoves and the other "outdoorsy" stuff, too. The more diverse the forum is, the more chance we'll all get something more that interests us, and if some threads don't, then just enjoy the ones that do.

Like I said, I can perfectly see topics like those on MTO without any problems.I understand your view of the random bullsmurf and gibberisch going on.As soon as it was stated that members here have issues with that, I've been doing my best to avoid doing that in serious topics. The question we do need to ask ourselves though, is:Where will we draw the line?On top of that, like I said, I'm trying to alter my behaviour on serious topics because others take offence on it.So I slightly expect to receive the same treatment when I, and others, are annoyed by something too.
So what would make a perfect forum I like talking and reading about MTs SAKs etcMy biggest problem is that most MTs etc have already been talked about and there haven’t been many new models that have come out lately I would love to read about a new model knife But than companies would first have to make one
I'm dropping out of this discussion. I've already been far too sarcastic for anyone's good. I think I'll drop out of the forum for a while for good measure. So, that's a little less noise to swamp you, AW. Hope you get the forum you want. G'day.
so, to avoid ending up a great Saturday in an angry or uncomfortable mood, I found the solution to the differences between SAKs and Hand Tools, I hereby present you the definitive solution that will unify both groups:(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
I’m looking at the front page of the SAK forum... The only things there that interest me are this thread, because I like discussing issues, rapidray’s Pen & SAK challenge thread, and the question threads started by new members with questions (‘cause I like helping out). The General tool forum is similar.Leatherman, SOG, and Gerber interest me even less ( I only have one old LM that I got at a car boot, and one SOG).I’m burnt out when it comes to multitools. Should I leave this multitool forum?
