91mm with threaded pivots?

Is this possible or will the smaller pin holes be too fragile after drilling?
And it might be a problem to make the open pivot part on the "middle" of the spring larger.

What do you guys think?

And if it's too much of a hassle does anyone know where to get 2.2mm pin stock?
The one place I knew had those doesn't have them anymore.

Start a new thread with photos of your slasher/chopper/machete knives in use Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Drilling the springs and tools for larger pivots does leave only a bit of material (particularly on the back tools) but it seems like enough  :tu:  Got plenty of brass rod on hand if you want to buy some. :tu:

Just registered and would like to ask hiraethus how I can get an 84mm kit (4 2.2mm brass rods).  It appears I can't email anyone.

I have been filing/sanding down some 2.35mm brass rod and would like to get some of the 2.2mm stuff. 2.5mm is available here in the US.

Thanks for the info. Sorry for the diversion.

Back to threaded pivots. After taking apart 3 TSA SAKs, I was surprised to see how filthy they were even after a Victorinox recommended warm dish soap "bath". Easily removable pins would make cleaning and future modification feasible.

So enlarging the tool holes is the only way to add threaded pivots for 91mm SAKs?
