 WOW, sharp looking handle

Great looking knife !

Thanks guys.

By the way, this knife has a 5" blade,so it's not small. It's also one of Randall's most popular big game hunting knives.

I really like,I mean really like those knives.Kudos brother Ron.

There was one on ebay last week that eventually sold for $91.00.I wanted to bid on that but I was out when it closed.

I have a few similar knives but they're much smaller.

So do I. One of my fishing buddies used to work in a shop with hunters´ supplies, and that´s where I came to know the pattern. It´s been a favorite ever since. Unfortunately the shop is long gone, and my friend passed away about twenty years ago.

I'm sorry you lost your friend Ron.I will be looking for that particular pattern in the future

This is another Randall. It's the smaller brother of the Model 25 Trapper.Randall calls it their Model 26 Pathfinder. It's a small knife compared to its bigger brother the Trapper.

This is a Randall Denmark Special. To provide some scale it has a 4 1/2" blade.

It also has some rather burly stag.

A two layer Solingen pocket hunter by Hubertus. It´s a tiny bit smaller than the Herbertz, both in length and width, and it doesn´t have the gutting blade. Yet it is heavier by 5 grammes (165g vs 160g).

Thanks Dean. I used to have one of those lever locked auto knives. Imo they´re a bit safer than button operated autos as they are less prone to accidental opening while in your pocket.
