Soldier '51 on top ('52 at the bottom)... you can see, the scales do not fit perfectly and are slightly thinner (you can see the pins are larger due to this.

'51, still on top... the blade has been used and reground, you can see it is a smidget skinnier.

The '51 is in really good condition, but the '52 is simply perfect.

My '57 looks like the '52.  Think you just got one with scales that were too thin, and the rivet got over peened.  Factory defect.

I'm a little confused by this thread. Isn't this 51 the same one that recently came out of the Vic spa and discussed on another thread? If so, what are we supposed to learn from the comparison with the 52? Are there supposed to be any systematic differences between soldier knives from these two years? Also, the WK stamp on the 51 looks interesting. Did Vic restamp it as part of the spa?
