I like those Knipex plierwrenches. The combination of the smooth jaws and extra mechanical advantage for greater gripping force are great for loosening (and tightening) stuff that can be marked by "toothy" grips.
Yadda, you're a smurf! I've got plenty of Knipex pliers and cutters, but have never seen the smooth jaw plier wrenches. Now you're gonna make me spend money! I might have to tell Papaw on you.

Have you seen these smooth jaw pliers from VBW? https://www.tools-giant.com/item.php?id=98832487&lang=en&curr=USD&ref=froogleus&gclid=Cj0KCQiAoJrfBRC0ARIsANqkS_7tp1l5CbiFqFSySQ9wQ-qZH-_qjt3ww0laElX3RukSVm1fuR3POvAaAjZYEALw_wcBI don't have any VBW pliers yet, but they are on my list.

I figured a Knipex 250mm plier wrench and a 180mm Cobra would be suitable Xmas gifts. Just out of curiosity I decided to get one of the new style plier wrench. Looking good, but somewhat harder to distinguish from a Cobra just by a quick look. Not too many differences from the blank style - I notice some new grip grooves, a scale from 12 to 52mm opening, and possibly a new steel. (I seem to remember some old ones were marked with S2 - this one is not). The 180mm Cobra is a nice size for tight or narrow spaces. Anyway, as I'm giving them away I wont get to play, try or abuse them. Used tools make for somewhat odd gift. That said I'm a willing recipient! (Santa, are you listening from your exile in Finland?)
[Nice gift! You really shouldn't have. You do have my correct address?
