Man, do people love the farmer. There a myriad of reasons why. What would you consider the equivalent in the 91mm and 111mm models? I'm comparing in terms of in terms of popularity and preference. Not a direct equivalent but similar in providing needs.

Do you mean a direct functional equivalent or in terms of what people like best?  If the latter I'd say a Yeoman and Soldier '08.

In terms of popularity and preference. Not a direct equivalent but similar in providing needs. I'll put that up in the OP.

In that case I'd say: Compact (91mm) and OutdoorTool (111mm).

The past years of collecting and using SAKs has learned me that I'm not a big fan of the 111mm for EDC.

I use them for specific tasks, in which case most of the times I take the OutdoorTool because for me it has the most useful toolset, but I never carry the 111mm with me because they are too big to carry them comfortably.

But I wouldn't call the Compact and the OutdoorTool the "Farmer" of the 91mm/111mm's, simply because I personally am not a big fan of the Farmer either. I would call them the "Rancher" of the 91mm/111mm's  :D

Perhaps Huntsman and Outrider? Both seem to be quite popular.

Huh...  Not sure I've seen that one before.  It seems like the liner lock might be hard to release with that inline awl in the way.

Never experienced trouble releasing the liner lock, and i've used the OutdoorTool quite often (although mostly Indoor  :D)
