Ambassador vs executive?

Soooo, now that I have become a 74mm convert, I was looking at the ambassador on a 'on line' knife shop, and they listed under the 'specs' the ambassador as being a bit smaller than the executive. I can only presume this is a mistake, right?

Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

No!

Both are 74mm's, but the Ambassador is thinner!

The Ambassador is a Classic on steroids.

Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Leatherman Skeletool for thirty (30) consecutive days. I really like the Ambassador. I'm at a loss as to why this excellent SAK doesn't get more attention.

And there are in essence three versions of this knife 58mm Classic, 65mm Esquire/Executive 81, and 74mm Ambassador.

They awl are excellent, but the Ambassador takes the prize in my contest.

Personally I've had both and much prefer the Ambassador due to it's thinness.

Two Ambassadors here (red and Roc), two Executives (red and black), and a Director. Currently I prefer the red Ambassador. It´s the lightest one.

Hmmm interesting idea young Nix you're full of 'em.  :tu:

I carried an Ambassador for the first Chuck Yeager Challenge and it was a very good piece of kit. It's that file on the Executive that aces it for me though Ambassador does just disappear into the pocket.

If Vic gave the Ambassador both the new file texture as the Cadet and Sportsman, as well as an SD tip with it's nailfile, I could see a small, lightweight knife I'd carry a lot.   I have two Executives, and still (sort of--it's in a manure pile!) an Ambassador. Gave it to a guy who we were paying to help my grandfather and he lost it not a week later.  But really, I like the Ambassador, and am hoping I can find a decently priced, non-money clip smooth Alox version.
