Back in the mid 90s, yeah that's the last century, a friend gave me a little 2 blade Pocket Pal. I carried and used that knife every day for almost a year, then lost it on a job. I went online and bought 6 more of them brand new in the boxes. I carried one every day and used them every day. The Pocket Pal is great for anything from scrapping off gaskets to cleaning finger nails. Love my Pocket Pals. Around 2009 I was using #5 of the 6 and dropped it from the top of a crane I was fixing. Later when I found it, one of the scales was gone, never did find it. At this time, I had no idea that I could buy replacement scales for SAKs. That night at home, I found a piece of Zebra wood in my shop and put a new set of scales on #5. 2010 I was injured on a job and had to have surgery followed by physical therapy. After a year I was still having trouble and found out I had to have another surgery and more therapy. With my Diabetes and heart problems, this time the company just told me to retire. Took a while, but I got my disability and here we are today, still kicking, just not very high. Point is, you can see how worn down the blades are from use and sharpening on #5, but still ready for action. And here is also #6, waiting his turn, that will probably never come. I'm also hoping this post will earn me my first merit badge for Scales. Thanks for looking, Dan
