Question? Is there a way to put a toothpick or tweezer in this without having to remove the removable clip? I saw Kampfer's Thread about using Style tweezers but I would like to keep my clip and have a toothpick as well :ahhh

The big washer thing on the other side feels to be aluminium. File/dremel in a groove?

COOL

 :hatsoff:

So far I have carried this knife everyday and it has been a good companion to my MTs and so compact that I never know it's there until needed :like:

Well after receiving a few parts from NKlamerus I decided to put another one of these handy dandy knives together  I had the handle, a diamond file, a PE Wave blade, and other misc parts but after getting scissors I figured I would put them all together :tu:

No long reach bit or bit holder in this one but I may take a Rebar square shank Phiilips and put in here so I can use the bit adapter with it :like:

They are very similar toolswise

but have a few differences as of now ;)

I like having the flat driver in there as I could mod it as an awl or use it as is as a pry bar  but if I add the square Phillips then out it will have to go but I could enlarge the hole and put it and an awl on the other end  So many options and ways to go with this :ahhh

That is fantastic, Poncho! :like:

The stowed MUT bit is quite a good idea for the tool.  :)

This is my favorite screwdriver period (even better than some dedicated ones :o ) it has that screwdriver feel that even the Vic inline Phillips nearly has  but since it locks it is even better :like: will more than likely put the Rebar Phillips on the other and use the bit adapter with it :tu: just to see which in :like: better :tu:

Well I haven't gotten a factory awl in the other pivot end yet but I did do this and am pretty happy about it

I took one of the long LM bits (not the Phillips/straight driver one) and used a Supertool awl as a guide and ground one of the ends down and made an awl that fits in the bit driver of my knife and also in any LM bit driver  :tu:

It made the bit a little shorter than it was but the awl is still plenty long enough :like: After grinding it, I took a diamond sharpener plate and cleaned it up and sharpened it :tu: I have tried it on plastic and wood so far and I am pleased with the results :like: I may work on it a bit more but maybe not

Liking it.

For me I wanted every tool I couldn't carry in School when I teach. So I put them in one place, I call it my outdoor/woodworking tool:

We need a club or something in this forum, there are so many tools you can do this to.

Cheers,
H.G.

Thanks :hatsoff: and great pic HG :like: It is true that this can be done with many MTs and the combinations are endless really  We have the Hacked Leatherman Tool Club but these guys are (to me) as good as a regular folder and have the extras that I really like and perhaps do need a club of there own   :tu:

+1

That's about everything you need for outdoor woodworking. Well done!

Since the Gerber Armbar is very similar to my Charge knife, I figured that putting this post in here would be a good way to look at both of them :tu:

So after some back and forth about getting one or not... I broke down and got one ::) :D

I really :like: the Armbar and have wanted to get one since the beginning  :ahhh the bad feedback has been what has kept me from getting one until now :salute:

I am hoping that since I did wait that I won't have any of the early bugs that the first run has shown  ;)

So far so good  :tu:

I do agree what most have said about the scissors though  why couldn't they have used a better design :dunno: still they cut, so there is that  :salute: the awl is a bit small but seems sharp enough to drill or poke holes in things  :pok: :D

I really :like: the bit driver and the option to use regular 1/4 inch bits  :woohoo: of course none of these lock and that is a bit of a drawback  not a complete deal breaker but a push tab lock could have been incorporated and this tool would have been much harder to beat

Next up is the knife blade :like:

My one seems to lock up well and just about as tight as can be  I really love the shape of this blade and wished that Gerber and other MT companies used this shape blade in more tools  :tu:

I wished it came with a clip but with the way it is designed wpuld be harder to implement  one side the clip would be in the way of the bit driver and the other side would be in the way of the knife :dunno:

I almost forgot about the hammer end :ahhh this is a really great feature that takes no space up and if I don't end up carrying this knife, I may take it apart and try to incorporate this into my Charge knife

My Charge knife is very similar to this knife and actually predates it  it does have everything the Armbar has except for an awl and the hammer but adds a diamond file and also has a removable clip  :tu:
