Badges
on: November 11, 2018, 08:41:21 AM
I am planning to go out to the range for some live fire practise in early December and since I noticed there is a badge for Firearms I thought I would check what the requirements are. I am a bit confused about the description. It says to start a new thread including a photo of shooting at least two (2) different firearms......

"Start a new thread including a photo of shooting at least two (2) different firearms and at least one (1) photo of target."

Do I need to dress up and 'go all hollywood' for a photo? Will firing a pistol in each hand, simultaneously suffice, like it does in the movies as well? Or can you cut me some slack and allow my old, slow bones to just stand in one fixed position and fire two different weapons (from the same spot) in two seperate photos. I'm not as young as I used to be, and am therefore thankful that it doesn't say "a photo of shooting at least three (3) weapons....". The sand/dirt is still hot this time of year and I really don't want to have to take my boots off.

I think you are fine with one photo for each of two firearms, and a third photo of a target. The mods consistently emphasize safety when trying to earn a badge, so I don't think they're looking for anything crazy.

But the dressing up part would be a nice touch...... ;)

I'm looking forward to your thread!

While I am sure that Nix is absolutely correct, not a single Administrator or Moderator (or anyone in charge of giving access to badges) has answered  this question and verified the answer provided by Nix yet?

You can request the badge for someone else after they have kindly gifted you something.
