Hey, same here! I don't need another tool, and also did my very best to resist, but at $70 is very difficult to pass :facepalm: Hope this is for real, I just don't feel secure when eBay seller don't respond and ignore all messages.

He was very prompt at answering my questions , it is the weekend and he could be busy   :dunno:

Thanks Steve! Beside the price, your "delivered" post was the second reason why I decided to purchased it, otherwise I would have pass, it's just the no responding issue that was making me think about it :think:  :salute:

I was hosed once by a bad eBay seller, and got the transaction reserved through Paypal.  Its a little bit of a hassle, but that safety net is there.

I bought one too, thanks guys!  What a nice deal. Maybe a bit of a strange question, but are we assuming that they come with all the extra bits, clips, and other goodies shown in the picture.  I didn't find anywhere in the ebay post that said specifically what you got beyond the tool so I was just curious.

It was one of the questions I asked him when I was trying to determine if he was legit.  He told me that he got a great deal on a bulk purchase locally, the more he bought the lower the price.

Kind of like the time I found BO OHTs for $18 at Wal-Mart. There was only one left, so I bought it for myself. The sales lady told me one guy bought a majority of them. I later found an ebay seller that lived near me selling them for $69ea.  :ahhh

Assuming the guy sold a piece for $80, the fee would be about $10.40 for ebay and PP. Also assuming Small Flat rate shipping box, so $7.05 thru ebay shipping. He would retain only $62.55. He must have bought those Charges at a really great price, or he just wanted to move them quick for a small profit.

I am more curious about the discount Leatherman gives the retailers. There is a so-called Leatherman PRO program when qualified individuals can buy tools at 50% MSRP. I speculate the discount must be huge.

I don't think he's making much on these. It doesn't look like he's sold much in the past. I have a feeling he maybe thought he was going to make a nice profit going in but then maybe just needed to recoup the money he had tied up in these tools.  :dunno:
