Further Finn Wolf mods

Finally got around to this mod, the AUS8 ate a 10mm endmill, quick trip to the hardware store and my buddy's sharpening skills....and we had a spyder hole in a cold steel:

Had it apart, slacked off the back lock spring.

Still considering some further mods to the handle......even though it feels great.

I ended up removing the thumb stud on mine, as it was in the way when cutting close to the handle.

I had to take some of the guard off and flatten it so it doesn't push your finger out of the hole while opening.

Agreed, there is noting like a hole, round or otherwise, to open a blade........I just don't like stuff sticking out.....

Which brings me nicely to my search for that one knife....

Pretty much made up my mind it would be the American Lawman, even more so since hearing CTS XHP is going away........but now I can't make peace with thumbstuds anymore, and I'm not drilling on a knife that price.....

It's one of my keepers obviously, so I'll post new pics as soon my new Spyderco arrives.......

TBH is a bloody hassle uploading and linking the pics only to have them disappear  :rant:

If I didn't enjoy knifep0rn as much as the next guy I'd never make the effort  :facepalm:
