I think you’re more likely to regret your efforts than to completely make it vanish. What you could do is buy a black Pioneer and use its back scale on the Pioneer X. Then you could put the Pioneer X back together with screws and do whatever you wanted with the Pioneer parts. Maybe get a pair of scissors and use them build yourself a 93 mm Voyageur.
