I was checking out the tools on sale and to my surprise I see a OG Supertool at the bottom of the page , no price or anything but it makes me wonder is there a Heritage ST in the works

I wonder

Maybe that one will be $300, since the Heritage PST was $200. :D

Probably a mistake, but note the timing. It's late 2018. If a Heritage Super Tool came out, it would be in 2019, which is the 25th anniversary of the Super Tool (OG). The Super Tool is the patriarch of every heavy duty Leatherman in existence, and really heavy duty multitools in general (launching competing products such as the Schrade Tough Tool, Super Bear Jaws, and SOG PowerPlier, and I feel fueling the designer's imagination for such tools as the Kershaw A100 and Tough Grips), predating everyone else's. So the Super Tool is a notable Leatherman model, and worthy of a "Heritage" edition.  Now when are we getting a Heritage Mini Tool?  :D

That Realtree camo Charge TTI for $108 on the sale page is pretty sweet too.

Is the Heritage PST as polished as the standard PST? This is regarding the grinding on the blades. The OG Super Tool is not my kind of tool, but to me, it is an exquisite product in term of fit and finish. Its all metal construction, polished blades, and handsome black leather sheath with gold lettering are very American.  :tu:

I also checked the Leatherman website after receiving an email from them. I scrolled through the Heritage edition stuff and also saw the Super Tool entry. When clicked, it indicated the tool was retired, but I thought "what's it doing here?" Mistake? Or "trial balloon?"

Hope it's a trial balloon or a sly preview

By the way, I may get some flack here for saying this, but I kinda don't like that tools like the Charge are getting the "Heritage" treatment. I think that distinguishment should be preserved only for the polished, tool-grade metal Leathermans made during a certain period - the first 10 to 15 years. The beginning. PST, PST II, Mini, Micra, SuperTool, and maybe - MAYBE the Wave.

To my thinking, the Charge, Surge, Rebar, and all of the other Johnny come lately tools shouldn't be included.

:iagree:  You won't get flack from me but I would add the SideClip to your list and maybe the Pulse and ST200.

I saw that too!, But did not relate to the Heritage line up.  good catch.

But, before that, when I first followed a link to the LM site from a email, the banner showed a gloved hand holding a Rebar/SuperTool  style handle with a serrated drop point deployed.  I thought a new tool was being prepped for release
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

I think any of the "original type construction" tools should be considered for "heritage status" like the Micra, the past Supertools as well as the current ST300, Rebar, the PST, PST II,  Pulse etc... I like a lot of the things Leatherman has produced, but the original box handles are what really turns my crank and they just scream Leatherman at me. The Juice/Squirt line has awesomeness and I carried a Blast for years, but none of them would be able to launch a icon and a brand the way the sturdiness of the box construction did in my opinion. Hell, if you ask me Leatherman survived in spite of the Zytel line...... what the smurf am I on about?  I'm gonna shut up but leave this here anyway.

I checked this morning and the ST is no longer in the line up, back under retired tools listing.

Very likely, LM Web Design loaded a modified page to test, but put to live page.

We will now need to wait

The ST300 was first LM tool I actually used for my work, trusted it for what ever task needed.  Then tried the Rebar, then a Wave, all of which survived 30 day challenges at MTo.

Quality never goes out of style :multi: :hatsoff:

Wasn't the Crunch type of proto-type, actually the first tool Tim worked on, before the PST?

I would love to see a heritage original ST, like the heritage PST. It would be even better if it was a reasonable price of say $100, although I'm pretty sure it would be more than double that.

Out of interest, are any other Uk members having problems getting on the leatherman US site? It keeps automatically diverting me to the Uk leatherman site.
