Advent calendar

Anyone else got an advent calendar?

Day 1: Helikon General Purpose CARGO® Pouch
Never heard of Helikon before, but the pouch seems well made and they use YKK zippers which is a very good sign. Not the fanciest pouch but a great start at any rate.

Day 2:  Esbit Pocket Stove

Now I wonder how they got a pot into one of those small boxes...  :P
Never had anything like this, guess I will have to give it a try at some point, I think I have somewhere an old pot I can use that is the right size. The fuel looks interesting too. Curious if it is powerful enough to actually heat water in winter.

Man, why don't we get neato advent calendars like this in the states. I had to "settle" for a Wera tool advent and a Lego Star wars advent. (Not that either are bad by any means.)

Esbit stoves work well but depending on the fuel they stink to high hell; make sure you have plenty of fresh air flow or only use it outside.
Work EDC: LM Raptor/Bladeless Pioneer X Mod

Weekend EDC: LM Free P2 or Vic Pioneer X/Vic Rambler/Olight I1R EOS Pro Ti/ Atwood R37Pry

These days I focus on collecting oddball Pharmacy/Medical Advert Victorinox Classics.

Day 3: Plastic bags :P

Not thrilled about that but I have seen this coming... after all, if every day there would be something like the first 2 days, that calendar would have cost a lot more than $150 (at least here in Switzerland).

Had a Wera calendar a few years back... really nice :tu: however

Day 4: Wire Saw

Always wanted one, but their bad rep kept me from getting one, so now I can test it for myself.

Day 5: Compass

I expected a compass, and I expected it to be one of these utterly useless 1ct/dozen compasses... but this one is really nice despite being a no-name brand. The needle is well balanced and turns really smoothly. The magnifying glass (2x I think) has no distortion and gives a very clean picture. It has a metric ruler, and rulers for standard map formats (1:25k and 1:50k).

Day 6: Anker PowerBank

This is the smaller/older one with 3350mAh. I have several products from Anker and think they are all great value, expecting this not to be different. Another great item especially for someone like me who thinks that the smartphone is an essential survival item due to its communication and navigation abilities. Still, maybe not the most obvious item for a survival calendar, but considering that YONC (the company selling these calendars) started out with flashlights and batteries not really a shocker. Makes me wonder what flashlight they packed in, probably something fairly decent.
Anyone wants to have a guess as to what flashlight and what knife is in the calendar? I put up a CRKT Ruger Cordite Compact with "custom" orange para-cord as a price... just take a number (in order) add your name and your two guesses (light first) as in the example below and you get a chance at the price... Please keep the list tidy.
000 - Etherealicer - OLight X9R Marauder - Fällkniven MB
Contest ends when both items are revealed, but once either is revealed you cannot guess at that anymore. Shipping will happen in January, after the X-Mas craze...

I didn't mean to :)
There's a SAK on the front of your calendar* and that Swiza is one of the more affordable ones they sell :)

Hmmm.... what was this all about again? right...

Day 7: Whistle

It's loud and works well... but this is definitively a cheap whistle with lots of sharp edges. On the other hand its a bit like the plastic bags on day 3, balances things out and I have to say the average item is way above expectation.
