New Year's Swisschamp Challenge
on: December 06, 2018, 04:09:45 PM
Fast Bill and I have been working on this for awhile, and it's finally here!  I'm inviting all here the chance to carry a living legend for 30 days and see if we can't add to the lore.  Beginning 1 January 2019 (Can you believe it's already 2019??!!), accept the challenge of edc'ing the mighty Swisschamp!  As always, if you need anything else for work, etc it's fine but let us know where the Swisschamp fell short.  Come all!  Everyone is invited!!

Do Champions count? Because that's what I've got.  I know the model number for it at present is based off the Swiss Champ. Need to get new scales for it, I borrowed the Plus scales to go on another knife.

I've never had a Swisschamp before.  :o

The 'champ seems dauntingly large. I never understood how such complex and big multi could be actually used, in the field, in vivo, as it were. So I shied away, sticking to 2-layer, 3-layer, and a maximum of 4-layer SAKs.

However, as a Swiss Army Knight in relatively good standing, I feel somewhat duty bound to give this legendary SAK a chance to prove it's mettle. And metal.

So, for this challenge I will finally have a mighty SwissChamp!   :SAKnight:

(and I'm a little scared here.....)

I'd join you lot, but it's more than overkill. I've been carrying an Executive and, most days, I don't even use it...

Awesome!

Then I will join with my Champion (chopped up my regular SwissChamp last year for my mods, and I am seriously considering chopping up my SwissChamp XLT as well  ::))

Great to see more people joining up.

(Mostly because I think I'll need the support and encouragement. Is it true these weigh 4.25# without the T&T?)

Well damn, I carried SwissChamp daily from the day I got it until end of October, when I got my Cybertool 41, a long time dream SAK of mine, and have carried it since on the go, though SwissChamp still is what's used when around the house. But I guess I'll get some home tasks done, or could the "2000 variation" be allowed at least occasionally?
