Day 11
Used the large blade to scrape down the old varnish off this beaverman stool. Refinished with pure beeswax. A good days work including a repair to one leg.

Is the mouse a signature symbol for your work??? It was also on the lamp I believe that you redid.
Not my work. Mouseman furniture is well known in the UK and the states. He had many apprentices who left and set up their own workshops. The stool is by one of his apprentices who uses a beaver as his mark. There are many others ( rabbit, wren, squirrel, lizard, fox etc) They are known as the Yorkshire critters. Beautiful handmade furniture but very expensive.

Day 11

Tightened the loose jaws on my vice, quite impressed on how much force can be exerted without damaging anything!
Awesome Jay  :like:

I've bent the bottle opener screw driver on mine once, in 90 degree position  :ahhh
I bent it back though

That's some force!!........ :o

Yeah, I did use both hands... on one of those big screws you find on furniture... the ones that lock-and-pull different parts together.
Bending it back I've used two plier wrenches leaving enough space, so more material, between them so it will not break so easy.
The tip I finished off with a file.

Used the tweezers for some kitchen duty tonight 😊

Nice Champs, Colt! :like:

What a great challenge thread. The most active one I have been in since I joined. Great photos and uses, y'all! :tu:

Day 11:
Used the Champ to saw off the end of a dowel that was too long. A good MT saw blade is actually the best tool for the task. :)

And an extra photo.
Pontificating particularly pious positions pertaining to polymorphic paraphernalia. G-Man.

I’m finding it easier to slice or quarter them. Not so much a problem now, and kinda prefer it now as it is eliminating the cutting of the top and bottom.  :tu:
