Cool, neutral, warm

What's your prefered flashlight output, cool white, neutral white,  warm white.

I've come to really like the neutral to warm, I find it easier on the eyes at night.

Cool white, even the old Luxeon green and stark blue/purple has never kept me from getting work done, including fiber splicing. That being said, my general preference s are 4000k, neutral ,for general use and 2700 to 3000k, warm ,for nighttime, total darkness, etc, etc.

Neutral all the way for me!

Not to say that all binned as Neutral seem the same to my eye though.

I really like that the tint preferences are becoming more available in the mainstream overall and even Milwaukee has gotten into that game with pretty great lights that we can get and replace at all of the Big Orange Box stores!

Helps me not seem like such a Tint Snob to the common folk

Everything but cool white.
Except maybe for a thrower flashlight.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

ezdog, Milwaukee is producing some really nice work lights for sure!

badwolf, the little 5mm led is now available from Yuji manufacturing in high CRI and 3200K. They are great for modding! Really nice upgrade for Photon Freedom and similar coin cell pinch lights and the like.

One supplier, not affiliated in any way, other than a retail customer  :)

These are not good at distance, but make wonderfully even, floody beams.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

I don't really prefer one over the other but I tend to go with cool more often since it gives higher output

Another vote for cool.  They seem brighter for the same lumens.

Kinda depends on what you mostly use it for. I find the warmer ones are better for reading in poor lighting and don't give as much glare. Great for menus in dimly lit restaurants.
Cooler best for brighter throwers especially outside.
Lovein' my Peak warmish high CRI. Does a little of everything.

It's not a deal breaker, but if I have the option of a NW or a WW I'd take that over a CW.

I guess all my old incandescents are warm, and I imagine my LEDs are what you'd call cool? I've never put them next to each other and shone them at white cards to see if there's much difference.
I'm pretty sure my main work torch is a "white" white, and not blue-y.

All my house lights are "warm", because it just seems gentler on the eyes.
