Smoked oak wood looks fine to me. But the shape of the blade and the button is not new and it will repeat the previos 130mm model.

One more for the rest of us then! Lots of people see these damas Victorinox as investments though... or simply shelf Queens!
If you are in Basel, I know a store that still has 2014/2017 :D
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I saw this on the Vic site this morning, what an absolute stunner, i was so tempted till i saw the price, £380, i closed the page and went away thinking.. is it likely this will lose value? for the first time in my life i thought about buying a knife as an investment, Ok it's not going to be much but the money i have under my bed is just sitting there, not gathering any interest and just sitting there getting moldy, crying out to be spent, been there for years so i went back to the website and they are sold out, how can it be that in a couple of hours 6000 of them have been sold? 1 per person it says so it's not like anyone is bulk buying, do we know if when they are released all 6000 are ready to go, or if they release them in dribs and drabs ? part of me is glad its away from temptation but man what a beautiful knife, also the cold reality is even if i did buy one as an investment i would really struggle to sell it, i know me..i find it hard to sell anything

ps - There is not really any money under my bed but the interest in say 5 years may be less than how much these increase? who knows..

Find a 2016 and bring me a bucket to drool in :D

Such a shame I was just starting at the end of that year...

" i was so tempted till i saw the price, £38"

ouch! That's mean of them. But the value will definitely increase with time. Stick it in a drawer and forget about it for 20 years.

I'm in Geneva and already have these 2 :D

It's an expensive week... I just spent a small fortune on a lot of Wenger rarities and HAD to buy a few of these damas...

Considering inflation, the money "under your bed" loses value gradually. Even money sitting in a bank account generates less interest than would be required to compensate inflation. Some damas have been hard to resell for a profit (2014 comes to mind) but others have gained a lot of value.

The 2010 goes for around 3k nowadays. It's probably because it was the first... But this 2019 is such a beauty... (must post pic :D)

I restarted actively collecting at the end of 2016... It took me a while to find one at a "reasonable" price.

Right?

They were €221 retail (from what I can find online) and I'd pay that with a smile for one, today.

Here's hoping they'll release another alox version one day and I can get it in time...

I started collecting also at the end 2016, and had to go to Budapest in a business travel to find one at a reasonable (original) price 8)

My kid wants a horse for her birthday. (that, or a unicorn.)
I want the 2019 Damascus Wine B-stard.
Decisions, decisions...

When the 2010 Damascus was going for ca. 600 euros I tracked a new one down to a shop in Italy. 200 euros!
I ordered it, and paid.
Only to get an email saying the price had increased to 400 euros.
I was so annoyed by this outrageous price change I decided I could live without the 2010 after all. So I let it go.
It's probably still there in a Calabrian warehouse, gathering dust. Yours for 400 euros. If you can find it.
