Its a good idea me thinks, cost of living here is much lower than the US :)But its relatively safer in the US :(
Just don't live in Mindanao.
Where are you based during your stint here in the Philippines? Subic or Clark?

Subic Bay marine here. As for safety I know that is an issue but I would get to own a Bike again! I loved owning my 3 wheeler and rode it everywhere. It was amazing the amount of drunk Marines we could fit in!

Subic has change a lot, its now connected to the North Luzon Express way a highway directly link to subic. Subic is now a free port and a tourist attraction. You can find No more drunk marines but some drunk tourist you can find  :D

Great write-up duckman. It's amazing really isn't it, that we've had 3 "regional" meets in the last 6 months or so, all over the world!

Multitool.org goes global :)

I used to come here a lot.

I just arrived home late last night guys. I almost missed my plane yesterday because I watched the Pacquiao-Dela Hoya fight just before I left the hotel. On my way to the airport the streets Manila were almost empty and it seems everybody were watching the fight. The press is never wrong "All said it was a mismatch and it was a mismatch".

Now did ya get to have a San Miguel?
We were not able to get some ice cold San Miguel beer, John. It was just a short meetup but memorable one.

Bison, we planned  meet again sometime in March 2009.

Hey, looks like you fellows had fun!
Tell us more about the SAK shrine please. Is there a big Victorinox and Wenger dealer in Manila?
Hi there too Bob!
There are a lot of “SAK shrines” in malls and the prizes are standardized. Many kinds of multitools, folding knives and fixed blades are also available here and as usual the prizes are high.

Eddie

Another pic of the shrine.

We don't even have "shrines" like that here! What SAKs did you buy, Eddie?

I have a question regarding the Alox Soldier. What does the number "7" on one side of the blade stands for?
