Alibaba Pterodactyl Multi Tool

I believe others have posted this before.  Not a great picture.  I just found this pic in an image search.  Very weird pliers on a multi tool.

At this point I'm becoming more and more convinced some MTs simply are people in China trying to find out what people in the West are happy to spend money on. Bets and/or drinking games may or may not be involved.

Epic fail!   I mean seriously, what jobs would require that weird curved type of plier. I can't see anything in fencing, fishing, farming, or electrical that I'd use it for.  Not even model-building, slot cars or RC either.

I know Fluke has a pair of pliers (which I have, just need to find them) with a large cutout for attaching ethernet connectors, but it's probably 3 times the size of the rectangular cutout in these pliers. So for sure, none of the cutouts in the MT shown are for electrical work.

The search phrase I used to locate this image had "fishing" in it so it might be designed to clamp weights?
