I just joined Instagram yesterday - guess I'm a slow learner - and wondered of anybody here is using Instagram to.

I have a Facebook with my real name, but everything else, related to knives, tools and EDC I rather do under the cloak of darkness. I dont want a future business partner to search my name and think I am a crazed and dangerous knife nut.

I have liked knives since I was a kid. I knew very little about knives, manufacturers or types, but I was fascinated by them. My father had a few, and to me, it seemed like this is what adults had.

The only "knife collector" I knew of was a guy who murdered someone and let someone else spend most of their life in prison after being wrongly accused. I didn't want to be like that guy, and so I ignored my fascination with knives for many years. Then in the late 90's I discovered the internet and found out that knife collecting was actually a thing that normal people did, and it was perfectly OK to do it.

Now I don't hide anything- if people don't like me, the things I like, or the things I do, well, that is a problem for them, not for me. There are lots of other forums, there are lots of other Instagram accounts, Facebook accounts, Twitter accounts etc. If you don't like mine, there are probably millions of others you will like.

There is no point in hiding the fact you run a multitool forum and shop, LOL.
My friends know me, and If you walk into my house, you immediately see a cabinet full of knives and tools. But for acquaintances and work colleagues on FB, my hobbies are private.

this and say that I just went full swing with a MT picture account but I actually did this to see if I could get some traffic from there moving here

all pics I post there have been posted somewhere here at MTO already or about to be
