Yes, I'd be happy with just the Apollo astronaut SAK, no watch needed here. 

But since you mentioned it, did this knife come in a set with a Victorinox watch, or were you referring to a Speedy Pro?    :)

If i look at one of my 80's Tinkers and one of my 2017 Explorer or Super Tinker for example, the difference is quite obvious. The current ones appear to be way much thinner and inlaid way more "flimsy" than the older ones. It's the sign of times and corner and cost cutting for maximum profit.

On the current examples i gave above, the top edges of the shield lifter above the indent on the scale, on the Explorer was very noticeable, and i could push the edge down with my fingers, it wasn't still at all, i i could feel it, brand new out of the box from factory. It got on my nerves so much i ended up popping those scales off and took the chance to make it an Explorer Plus while i was at it.
On the old scales it feels like it's"set in stone" virtually indestructible...
Don't know if the actual procedure for attach ng it in place changed, but the thickness of the sheet metal from which the shield id cut sure did  :twak:

I guess I can definitely add the Fisherman to this group!
I see there is a difference in the inlay and I know a difference in the Camping. Are there any others with differences?

I'm with MacGyver, it has to be Red Celidor with the shield, I am going to make an exception soon and get one with Ruby scales, other than the shield I like the Camper and Fishermen inlays.
