Got a berry red pioneer!

That Spyderco is real nice, I know the outdoor store we both go to started selling these, but I have not given in to the temptation ... (not yet, at least  ::)).

They do??!

Why the smurf didn't I know yet??!!

This one came from a dear friend of mine.
He chose the UKPK so it can be taken to just about any country while not running into trouble.

Furthermore, I expanded on your Christmas eve statement because you mentioned it...
Aren't you a refference like 60% of Flemish people??

Just checked their site...

At those prices you're better off ordering from KnT!

Although the Centredrive and Vic oil are in nice discounts...

Well, they sell Spyderco knives now, but not the one you got apparently.

I'm not a refference for like 60% of Flemish people  :twak:.

But when you and your family also open gifts on Christmas Eve ... I guess the both of us together will almost represent about 60% of the Flemish population  ;).

Or did you guys just open them on Christmas Eve after reading my statement ... :P.

Yes, I only buy stuff there when it's on sale ...

But when it's on sale, you can get some sweet deals there, I remember buying two Skeletools there  a couple of years ago for 49 Euro/piece, which is still the best deal I've seen on them around here until this day.
I've bought Fjällräven outdoor winter trousers at -75% there in the past, which pushed them into my price range (since they cost an arm and a legg normally, well two leggs to be precise  ::)).

That Center-Drive is tempting, but I've got so much new stuff these last days that I think I'm going to let this one pass ...

Great looking Pioneer mate  :tu:.

I've got myself that one last summer during a trip to Vaduz (Liechtenstein) while I was on vacation in Austria.  I'm one of those s*ckers who got hooked on those yearly Special Editions  :-[.

Got two nice mid-weight pullover sweaters from my parents and purchased a Blue Alox Pioneer X for myself to add to my edc rotation. Oh, and my Wera Advent ended up being a nice double screwdriver set this year.

I got some nice shirts from Megan's family, a book from my brother, and some new trekking poles from Megan.

And perhaps most importantly, decent weather to make the three hour (each way) drive to and from Megan's grandmother's house!

All in all, not a bad Christmas this year!

Like TG said, Christmas eve counts most here in Belgium.

I got a few bits and pieces that are not really worth mentioning.

I did however, received a Fisher Space Pen, mango wood post sorting box and a Spyderco! :ahhh

(Image removed from quote.)

That wood box is nice!

No multitools, alas. My family and friends have so far resisted any attempt at indoctrination

I did receive a book from my wife, the 3rd of a series by a local author who has been interviewing WWI and WWII veterans.

Very interesting to read of their experiences, serving their country, what they observed, how they felt, and almost to a T, how their service and experiences made them better persons, as they survived and felt obligated to make the best of each day, treating it as a gift.

Many have also taken part on Northeast Indiana Honor flights, which take veterans to Washington DC to tour the Memorials built to honor their service.

The most interesting also shared trips visiting Europe towns they had liberated, and burial sites of comrades, as well as sites they came ashore at on D-Day or later.

My family's Christmas is the 30th due to the son's work schedules along with sport event schedules of grandkids.  Best day to gather the clan.

If I receive anything I will share.

Right now it appears the Belgium's have the most to share :like:  I am sure others got neat stuff as well.  Looking forward to JR's dried meats. :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

That book sounds very interesting  :tu:.

Some of you might know by know that I'm a bit of a WWI and WWII history buff, and a book full of personal experiences of the men who fought the Wars that gave us our freedom today ... that's something priceless in my opinion.

If you ever decide to visit some of the famous sites in Belgium, let me know  ;).

P.S.: just noticed that I have not yet posted my own gifts ...

All of my favorite type of boxes  :woohoo:.

P.S.: Note to myself : The wife remembers everything I told her these last months, a simple "that Leatherman is not very common around here", or "that discount is nice" or ..., it all gets stored on her harddrive  :ahhh.

That's what I thought when I opened them  :D.

I knew about the Olight S1R Baton and Olight i1R EOS, and of course I also knew about the 2 Leatherman Charge +'s since I got them through this place  ::) (only one is shown in the pics, since I've been EDC'ing the other from the day they arrived here ).

I did not know about the Olight H1R Nova.  I'd been lurking at it when we bought the other Olights, but decided it was too expensive.  But a couple of days later my wife went back to the store (to buy the Surge, see below) and noticed they were -30% so ...

I also did not know about the BO/Stainless Surge (once again, I may have picked up the box one time, and it was on a discount as well).

And the same goes for the RealTree/BO  Fuse, that one sat in a display cabinet at the local army surplus store for years and I may have pointed it out a couple of times .  And after my wife had seen how happy I was with the RealTree leather Leatherman sheaths I found, she went to the store and got me the Fuse (and she also got a nice -15% discount, since nobody else wanted to buy it, so it seems ).

And last but not least, the Casio GWG-1000 1AER Mudmaster .   I'd been thinking about buying one of these for years, and I finally got one right before last summer (be it the GWG-1000 1A3ER, same module, different colours).  And I LOVE  (really LOOOOOVE !!!) this watch.  It puts a smile on my face every time I wear it, this is the most awesome watch I've bought ever.  And a couple of weeks ago I noticed the shop where I bought my GWG-1000 1A3ER had the 1AER on sale, and I've never ever seen these on sale, so I was tempted, very tempted ... but decided to let it pass.  And when a couple of days later I went to their site to check if it was still on sale it said they were sold out, and would never be back in stock again, I was very, very disappointed ... (you guys know the feeling, when you just know you missed out on a sweet deal, that feeling).  Turned out my wife got one of the last 2  :D.

All I can say is that I'm very happy, and this is exceptional, don't you guys go thinking that I always get this much, other years I'm happy when there's one tool or light under the Christmas tree, this year was truly special  :D.

Totally!
In our first house we had two, litterly side by side, yet with a mini stand between, with a mini fridge on top then a mini microwave on top of that, all set up to watch tv and movies!
Thirsty? Just reach in and grab a drink, need popcorn? Reach under the stand and throw it in the micro, all while not leaving you comfy recliner!
