Or is it just very loose

Groovy!  :tu:

Trying some restraint today. A seller accepted my offer this morning and I've passed up on the rest for the day.  Did get some Cybertool bits and Vic oil just now, but that stuff certainly doesn't count, IMO.

Gonna be a busy weekend though...lots to chase!

But the number on the box is actually a Spartan, so there's something not quite right...

That's pretty good progress!  I only own 3 of the items on your list...and also have 9 in common on my buy list. And 2 of those are somewhat permanently on the buy list regardless of the copies I own. Crossed off a few of the big ones during this challenge.  One 'high priority' and fortunately low cost item.

I'm still in so far.  Gonna have trouble buying tomorrow as it'll be a busy day...

...

Speaking of Ambassadors, I do want to find a mint one of these:

BSAs are cool.  I got my first during this Challenge...and a glowing one to boot. I keep missing out on stainless+boxed ones I've bid on in the past.

I'm still in, but under a bit of pressure for tomorrow. Nothing I really want or need...might tap the buy-it-now stuff to stay 'in'. Maybe I'll shop late tonight if I don't pass out. I've been on the road for 3 1/2 hours today r/t. and just glad I had time to get the ones I wanted today.

As of today I've purchased 30 SAKs this month, just not one a day.

Lessons learned:

1) Don't try and make a purchase happen, it puts on stress that makes the joy of the hobby not as fun.
2) Some SAKs are going to rarely, if ever, show up for sale.
3) It's too hard on the budget.
4) One positive note is it made me try very hard to find worthy candidates.  I thought if I have to buy one it better be something I really want.
5) You all knew this before I even started, if I just would have listened.

Since I blew the challenge, I thought I'd wrap up with my thoughts.

My favorite purchase for February so far has been:
