Ya Gotta be...Tough Tool Schrade - February Challenge
« on: January 08, 2019, 12:32:10 PM »
So recently, Douglas and I have planned on doing a Schrade Tough Tool challenge in February. This should be a cool challenge, as it is a tool very few of us would use on a daily basis. The challenge rules are the normal ones. Post a photo of a Tough Tool everyday and try to post action shots when possible. Both U.S.A and China made Tough Tools are welcomed. MT.o offers three different badges for off-brand tools. Those are; 7-day, 15-day, and 30-day badges for off-brand tools.  :D
The Tough Tool is a unique/innovative design and should still prove to be useful in everyday carry. The Taylor brands version is notably inferior, but much cheaper/easier to acquire. :woohoo:
There are options galore! China or U.S.A Tough Tools and three options for participation duration. The U.S versions include ST1 and ST5E, while the Taylor version is an ST1 as well .  :multi:

Some tough tool pics to get the ball rolling.
Original and Taylor versions.

The U.S and China made versions.

And the one I will be using for the challenge. Classic ST1. :)

Participants so far:

Yup, I'm in for Feb.Been carrying it a lot anyway. I really like its leather sheath. Am I right in saying that it's the only factory genuine leather sheath that allows for horizontal carry?

Coming right along.  Welcome Greg and cody.  I've owed this to my friend G-man for quite a while now.  Really glad we are going to have company.  At this  point I'm still trying for a full 30 days.
How about a few more, all are welcome.

I'm in with both a Taylor ST1 and a Schrade USA ST2 ToughChip...will Chips count??

I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.

I'm not sure if it's the only sheath with this feature, but I remember it being listed as one of it's abilities on the sheet that came with it, I have the sheet somewhere, I'll try to lay my hands on it for the challenge

Ya know, Douglas. This may be a small group, but a group that is raring to go with our Tough ways. After all, only the toughest can handle an unbridled multitool. :pok: :D

edit: BTW, that black powder Colt is gorgeous!
