Day 7:

Used the file to clean up a small horn for a wood pipe that fell off. Cleaned the pipe side as well. Used some glue to attach. Filled any holes in the horn with a filler stick.

Two beauty shots.

I actually used the blade today, and I had 3 other knives (Ladybug, MiniChamp, Camillus) on me:

First was opening up some mail--turns out in my final semester of college (finished in Dec. (though technically graduated in May; as I forgot to apply for graduation until November) with a BS in management through the local college online I was on the President's List. So, I got a BS in BS.

Secondly, I removed the zip-ties on this model tractor I picked up at Tractor Supply today; since I already had it out thinking the cutters would work.  Really wish Ertl had stuck with wires. Guess the zip-ties were cheaper.

Thanks, Douglas!
If they had advertised it as a packing tape cutter, they would have probably sold kore TTs. :) :tu:

Of course it worked. I'm always using my multi-tools to drag stuff up places I can't get to.

Int his case I just pushed the pliers into the cardboard to drag it off.

But there is another way.
Ialway figured that was why the saw and the file where in opposite handles(joking). Just spread the handles in opposite directions and then extend the saw and file.
Hold on to the file and try to hook the package with the teeth of the saw.
On most full-size multi tools that'll give you anywhere from 8-12 in of extra reach

Just don't drop and break whatever it is you're trying to get.

Used the scraper blade to open some Imodium for a mild upset stomach. Fixed right up. :)

Cellphone stand
Found this use last weekend.
Because of the TT's unique side opening just extend small tools to hold the phone and long ones to stand it upright

No this isnt my phone
It a prepaid found months ago in the parking lot at work w/o sim
But I cant display my phone and take a pic with it of it at the same time...

Uh, nothing much. Today's only use was opening this here Hot Pocket this evening. Did carry it in my pocket, while an HD tool, the TT is not bulky at all. Same with the Mr. Pinchy; I can pocket it like a PST and it not feel like a brick.

Very cool usage, Noa! I had not idea the ToughTool was so 21st century. :like:

Hot Pocket extraction is still very important.  :multi:

I must agree with the pocket statement. I've been carrying mine in my back left pocket since we started, with tool side facing away from my butt, and it hasn't been an issue. :)

As you said, like the Pinchy and PST, along with the Spirit and PowerAccess. :)

Great info and picks.  Not feeling to well, but still had to load up for a nine hour trip in the morning.   The scribe tool is proving to be more useful than expected.

Today I came to a realization. The ToughTool is a pretty smooth operating tool. That is quite a thing considering the time it was released in 1996. It wouldn't be until the following year a smoother operating tool would be released, which was the SwissTool. The ToughTool does have an advantage over some of the best tools of the time. The implements are notably easier to access than any other tool of the era. No fingernails? Bump the other side with your hand and the tools ease out a bit. Then, even with gloves on, you can extend the tool you need further and tuck the rest back into the handles.
Not the most refined thing I've experienced with a multi tool, but something I felt like rambling about. :)

Here are photos of the Pat. Pend. TT. It isn't the early one and is almost identical to the one I'm using for the challenge. I was able to fluff it up into a collection tool. :)
After 2.5hrs of cleaning and tuning. :ahhh

It has been quite interesting to say the least. A lot if the times we do challenges with typically used tools, which are a lot of fun, but the odd tools really are quite special. :)
