Day22
Greg asked us for a pocket dump...
This is representative of a normal day for me and depending on what I'm wearing I might not carry the organizer/admin pouch sometimes and because I'm doing this challenge I have added the ToughTool

Clockwise from the bandana;
Cold Steel Recon 1 XL with snaggletooth
Barlow money clip 3 blade classic
Uncle Mike's duty belt baton and Maglite holder
knock-off Leatherman Carabiner tool
Gerber shard
Wallet
Fisher Space Pen Trekker
Victorinox Quattro
Unbranded pocket organizer
Victorinox pen sharpener
Extreme 6 in 1 multi tool pen
notebook
Maglite 1 AAA
15 foot paracord
 whistle
RE Factor  survival card kit (see survival forums "survival-kit kits on yourself")
USB C charging cable
Chapstick
Maxpedition tc1
Maxpedition tc2 (laced together)
Leatherman ST300
Victorinox Champion Plus
Leatherman Croc
Streamlight protac 2L Gen 2 ( elastic hand strap is off a can of Mace)
Bic lighter
Condor pistol belt ( my old Condor instructors riggers finally gave out after 4yrs edc)
and of course what's in the middle is what we're doing this about the Schrade ST1 NB

Not pictured cell phone, mints/hardcandy and CCW

It is my precious now. It surpasses my expectations by a mile. The blemish came off with my fingernail when oiling the blades. :woohoo:
I'll post about it in the LM section later.

Thank you for taking the time to do that. :like:

If I can remember, I'll take a dump tomorrow for the challenge.  :)

Used the file to rig a cleaning tool from a hearing aid wax filter installation/removal thingy that they typically come on. Ended up using the shaft of a Q-tip to clean wax from my grandfather's hearing aids.  But I got a good test out of the file; it's not as good as Vic. I'd say equal to my 2013 Super Tool 300.  I don't think anything can be as bad as the files on my Paratool and Pocket Power Plier from SOG.

O.K. the "scribe" is one of the best MT tools I have ever had. It needs to be on a lot more MTs. And I plan to make one for the MP600 at some point.

Day 22:
Used scribe to scrape glue off of the table edge before applying the color and finish.

Used the scribe to sharpen one of my wood grain pencils.

Used the flat head to open a socket shell on a lamp I made to put in a longer pull chain.

There were many more uses, such as the blades too. Dare I say? The US version TT is a very good MT. :)

Good work, Cody! :like:

I don't know about aggressiveness making files better or worse. The older Vic files were better for detail work(similar to 300 and US Schrade), but I find the new stainless Vic files(like the LM Rebar) to be too aggressive for fine work. If I need an aggressive file, I generally need to remove a LOT of material and have loads of big bas-tard files to use.
I stopped carrying the Rebar in rotation, because of the hard cut file. :(

SOG files(except for the early round tip files) are generally mild, but do work. The PowerAccess files are the worst of any MT.

For me, what makes a good MT file, is how well the metal holds up under use. Gerber has the best file metal I've had extensive use with.

Thanks again Ws

Pretty impressive pocket dumps guys, I guess I'm a minimalist

I'm a fan of the Scribe/Awl too, I'd like to know if it was an original idea or based off something, but that short, sharp, curved blade really comes in handy

Great work everyone, it's been an interesting Challenge for sure

Day 23

The rechargeable batteries in a set of 2 ways are at the end of their lives, being a snug fit with no finger access I used the flat screw driver to gently pluck them out  :tu:

Moved the sheath from the horizontal to vertical position in order to accomodate my Mora Basic (one of two, the other is red/black with red sheath), which I used a little today.  By far, it's my favorite fixed blade. Great steel, and not much more expensive than a fast food combo. I chose to put the Tough Tool sheath behind the Mora, due to the fact the TT sheath rides higher than the Basic's pommel.

Also had this little Schrade Walden (1960s) Eli Lilly advertising fob knife in the shirt pocket (as my sweatpants don't have pockets) relaxing around the house today.  This pattern was exclusive to Lilly, and as with most, it does have a Wharncliffe tracheotomy blade.  Its nailfile was also put into use.

Tools used: pliers put the grate on the gas fireplace back where it belongs and the awl/scribe scraped off dried foam from the Hibiclens soap pump.

A Mora and ToughTool can do almost anything.  :like:

I did not know the TT leather sheath rode so high. That would drive me bonkers.  :dwts:
Do you like the leather TT sheath carried vertical, Cody?

I've just been throwing the ToughTool in my back left pocket where my SAK usually rides. A bit heavier, but not terrible. :)

The ToughTool was accompanied by the Kershaw 6055 today. I still never remember to "Wave" this knife out of my pocket like it is supposed to be pulled out.  :ahhh
