Nite Ize Gear Tie Laboratory
on: January 15, 2019, 01:20:37 AM
These are rubber coated wires that are strong, flexible and reusable. Been using the shorter ones for years mainly for phone charger cables. Home Depot had a variety pack of 8(2 each of 3", 6", 12", 18") this Christmas and they are being clearenced now for $3, but are getting scarce...heres what you get:

Keep your cords tidy:

Then after you run out of phone cables and extension cords to wrap, you say to yourself what else can I do with these?

I had a Mora Companion hanging from a command hook and now same hook has 2( also have some hats on another one, but who wants to see hat pics):

Was watching NFL playoff games and my phone kept falling over, so made a stand(old phone standing in cause I'm taking pics with phone, but you get the idea)

Here is my Olight night lite  ONitelight maybe? with visine cap diffusser

I will see what else I can come up with, they are very versatile and fun. Feel free to post what you use them for. Lots of creative people here at MTO, lets see what else can be made

They are pretty flexible and stiff at the same time , I haven't cut one open but they probably have solid wire, possibly copper maybe 10, 12, 14 gauge depending on the size of tie, i'm just guessing tho

Ok, 10-14gauge, that’s a good way to explain it so long as you’ve used electrical wire, lol. Which I have so ty,

Post all the pics of these that you want as I like to see them and when I get some more toy money I will have plenty of ideas :tu:

ok

heres ipad/tablet stand. The viewing angle can be adjusted unlike my case which is fixed and sometimes too steep. This one is pretty easy to make, I use the ipad edge to get clean bends on the geartie
