Wharncliffe opening medicine and that was it. They mostly stayed in my sweatpants.  Today's job (breaking up half-rotted planters made from landscaping timbers, removing the screws so that the remnants could be thrown in the brush pile) was fairly heavy duty--it even tested the limits of my three heaviest duty EDC items--4" Knipex Cobras, 8" Lucas Engineer's Pliers, and the Super Tool 300. The screws were all bent or stripped out.  Resulted in a groove being worn in the bolt gripper portion of the Lucas pliers, but the Cobras and ST300 were unharmed.

One reason why this isn't my go-to tool:

Mactire - MCC 07

Used the MC to open a package. Anoter Swissmemory. I have great plans for this one.
I bought it specifically for a 64MB to 64GB modification. Now I just have to hope everything works out...

Mactire - MCC 08

While cleaning a cabinet I found a tiny friend from the past.
In the spirit of the MiniChamp I figured the GameBoy Micro would pose perfectly alongside
The MC didn't get any use today.

Mactire - MCC 09

I had the marvelous plan to use the MC to mod the Swissmemory to a 64GB drive.
With some poking and prodding I got to remove the sliding part from the USB drive, I cut down the plastic with the large bladen and used the nailfile to smooth it all out. Should work perfectly no? Well, it didn't.
I had to remove all the plastic and had only the metal part of the connector left.

The PCB was easy to remove from the Swissmemory with the blade of the MiniChamp and the Swissmemory combined.
I could insert the SanDisk PCB, but the notches had no where to go.
Time to pause the project. I can do a much better job with the Dremel and would not destroy the scissors of the MC.

Mactire - MCC 10

I used the Dremel to cut out notches out of the USB drive. I did get to use the ruler of the MC to measure out the appropriate positions. Sadly I don't have a picture of that.

Finally, at the end of the day I used the Philips screwdriver to screw a screw in the wall
