As they are changing the logo will
they change the quality as well  :dunno:

I doubt it will change that but they may head into another direction in designs :salute:

I see it, it's according to this days, it's adressing to the new millenials, hipsters etc, also the colours and design of the new tools( handels in special) ..
But Neahhh, i don't like it, this all rebranding doesn smell good
Did i stated that i'm using a PST2 and Tread as daily driver, maybe it's me...not embracing the NEW

Well, the Thread is fairly new...

Anyway, LM needs customers that buy new tools, not those that are happy with the ones they have. Unsurprisingly they are moving in the EDC market, away from the handymen. Why? Simple! EDC crowd is more willing to spend, and less hard on the tools. Also, most craftsmen prefer dedicated tools, and the EDC market is far larger. So, for LM its a win-win-win.
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

We do tend to forget they are in this to make money

I do agree that they are changing there direction to cater more to the EDC crowd and less to craft people and heavy tool users :salute: I do wish that they would lean to the user end more but as said, less use equals less breakage which equals less warranty work  :salute:

I love it... the old one was too delicate, this is simple and works for me.
:iagree:  :drink:

The old one is too delicate and only really works when LEATHERMAN is written beside it.
This one is simple and bold. The 'L' helps with name recognition (much like the McDonalds Golden Arches 'M').

This will be like the Signal thread - everyone outraged and going  at first, then later everyone will like it.  :pok:

I just don’t understand why they feel that the logo needs to change  :dunno:
And does this mean the prices are going up as they have to change their tooling

It's their business, they do what they want with it, we don't really have any say to it  :pok:

I bet in a year you will all be used to the logo and won't give it a second thought.  :pok:
If we look at the old logos we probably wouldn't have liked them when they first came out.

It's like music - a lot of people don't like new music but the radio stations force it upon you enough that it becomes familiar and you end up liking it (whether you wanted to or not).

That forcing thing doesn't work on me, I don't like most of the new music, and I always listen to (old) CD's or my CD collection ripped to MP3 on a USB stick ...  :P

And yes, I know this means I'm turning into an old f*rt ...  But I would rather be labelled an old f*rt than listen to this soulless cr*p ...

 ;)

A new kid on the block.

It sure looks as if the new log was designed by a kid ... (who just started learning the basics of Microsoft Paint ...  ::)).

Like I said, old f*rt ...

To end on a positive note, that Free P3 does look interesting  ;).

I see a multitool gripping a square nut.
I see now that the square is the plier heads (split diagonally).

I've been looking for that cane smiley as well, couldn't find it (one of the youngster will probably find it right away with a bit of their touchscreen magic ).
