Day 23:
This went slightly better than I thought it would, using the A/F to do some sandwich filling.
Another food pic.

Day 23

Just some maintenance today. Some tung oil for the handle, T-9 for the blade and tang and RM Williams for the sheath. Love the smells of all these dressings.
Great products. First time I’ve seen RM use outside of Aus.  :like:

Day 23:

I did a little fly tying today. The Ulu got used to snip a bit of thread. Otherwise, not much action.

We are expecting a lot of snow over the next few days, some light snow today....  On the one hand, that's fun, on the other, I don't know how much I'll be doing aside from trying to shovel..........

Wish we could get snow here. I’ve had enough of summer.

Day 23.1

Also had a chance to liberate some markers from their prison.

And when I’m at home, I don’t wear a belt so here is how I keep the knife on me, the sheath clip makes a great pocket clip.

Pretty happy with this. Still cutting smoothly with no tearing after doing this large box.

We get a few of your products our way, Drizabone, Blunstones (although I had the rubber rot with my pair), Ranger (now built here).  :tu:

I don’t know Ranger, have had a couple of Drizabone coats and a few pairs of RM boots over the years.
Blundstone was Tasmanian made I think but has been made offshore for a while now.

Here's one I picked up back in the mid 80s.  It's a Mark II clone made by a company called Explorer in Japan.  It's every bit as good as a Gerber, perhaps even a bit better.  I've had it all over the place with me in the decades since I bought it.   I've always been in love with the lines of the Mark II and the Applegate Fairbairn, and seeing SAK60 's AF reminded me of this knife.

Day #24 - more package opening.
Also during stroll on the beach, I find a small twig and decided to see how the little guy would behave doing some carving. I gotta say it did great. Cutting, triming and shaping was easy enough, and the blade being so small gave me plenty control. :like:

Nice pics today everyone. Just preparing some hot dogs. Missus commented how sharp Mr Smith was. I guess I need to sharpen the kitchen knives...
