Max, I'm a patina kinda guy.  Apparently everything you cut lends it's own special color to steel, so cutting an assortment of things will give the most intricate patina.

I'd keep using it to cut up onions, meats, and fruits and watch that patina develop!  :tu:

Does anyone know a source of leather for sheath making, in Europe, or Portugal?
I have easy access to 1.2mm leather, but 2,5/3mm leather is probably more suited for sheath making, and that thickness, I haven't found anything yet...
Is someone is able to help, I appreciate it.
I want to put Nix's tutorial to good use, but need the raw materials to do it!

I hope you can source some good leather to make a sheath.  I've found some older leather purses and briefcases have some decent leather.  Maybe a good practice material if you find cheaply

I think there are challenges planned for April, May, June, maybe August.

Barry and I were talking about doing a Traditional Folder challenge in July.

Maybe a Follow-up Fixie challenge in Sept?    :dunno:

on thing I learned is that this time around it might be a good idea to have a smaller fixie that is more EDC friendly

The Mora came the closest to the ideal size for me to carry almost anywhere.  I can't think of its name, but the Mora with the very short blade (and seems to be designed for a neck lanyard) would be great for the next challenge.
