Yes and no, I used to press the excess water out of the bag lightly with a spoon so it didn't drip on the way to the trash.  :dunno:

Now I have a Keurig that I only use for tea. So no.

I'm more of a coffee guy too, but after mid morning, tea is a little less intense.  :tu:

I voted no, I  like twinnings Ceylon orange pekoe, and I just brew as per package directions, very hot water/not boiling over bag and let steep 3 minutes than I dunk it about 8-10 times add sugar and honey. The orange is just the color not a flavor but I find this is my favorite one sometimes try the English and Irish teas, but not a fan of earl grey

Orange pekoe is a tea leaf rating. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_leaf_grading#Orange_pekoe

not sure what you meant but it is a real product

I just meant it doesn't have an orange flavor if someone wanted to try it, it's very good

I drink loose leaf
How are you supposed to squeeze that?  ???

Roll it into a ball, stick it in your jaw, and chew it like chewing tobacco. Used coffee grounds are pretty good that way too. :hatsoff:

Yeah I know, only a barbarian from the colonies would squeeze a tea bag. I drink Earl Grey, English breakfast, & Irish breakfast teas & not only do I squeeze the bags but I leave them in the cup & wait til the last sip to do the deed. Got to get all the flavor possible you know.                       :hatsoff:
As a barbarian from the colonies, I am a squeezer.
I drink gumboot (plain) tea out of a gumbootmug, not some dainty little cup with a tiny handle that I can't get my fingers through.
I let it draw for at least 3 minutes.
Often I will pour the milk in then grab the bag with my fingers and give it a swirl to stir it before squeezing and taking it out. If however I fail to quickly find the bag because it has sunk to the bottom, I firstly swear in a high-pitched voice because of my burnt fingers then reluctantly reach for a teaspoon.
Sometimes I leave the bag in if I want to take my tea with me before it has drawn.
No sugar, and just enough milk to make the tea the colour of my arm.
I dislike Earl Grey.

Where I live bagged tea is considered almost an insult, something far more inferior to tea prepared in a pot. Still, it is consumed as a last resort if there is no "real" tea in a pot.
Anyway, I think it's fun to wrap the thread around the tea spoon and the tea bag and squeeze out the last drop.

Sync.....wow....very full post....

I totally agree with the 3 minute minimum. On the other hand I do enjoy the occasional cuppa Earl Grey.  Fingers? Isn't that why you have a SAK?

So I guess a Nespresso or Keurig is out of the question for you guys. They brew up some good tea but it does take away most of the ritual.  :dunno:

Nowadays, I mostly drink loose leaf tea. I used to leave the bag in the cup and squeeze it too but not anymore. OK, maybe a light, gentle little squeeze may still occur from time to time but mostly I avoid it.

At least you people value tea* . Over here they look at me amused when I ask for tea - I don't anymore, because don't ask how many people actually know how to make good tea.

The last person whom I taught how to make proper tea was amazed to feel the difference, he even exclaimed it gave him a buzz... and then went on making tea completely wrong  :twak:

*Although, usually too sweet for me? I might use honey sometimes.
