Here's a true box cutter (as opposed to the utility knives displayed here) that I used on a summer job 40 years ago in a super market.

This is what I tend to think of when I hear "box cutter".   :like:

As with most types of edged tools, the lowly box cutter has also come into my accumulation in many designs. Some are designed for multiple uses such as scraping. It wasn't until many years after I started using a standard box cutter did I realize that in most of them you can take out the blade and turn it 90 degrees to use as a scraper.
The only down side I see to replaceable blade utility knives is that most of them use blades that will only fit that particular knife. Many of the early ones used single edge razor blades of the standard type. There were also many types of single edge razor blades when safety razors started to replace straight razors but that is another story......
So without further ado I will post up a few of mine and try to give info about them.

#1 Armstrong Notched Blade Knife.Cast iron housing.Still looking for extra blades.
#2 Box cutter promotional item from Swift's Cleansers.Uses a single edge razor blade.
#3 Conrad box cutter uses a single edge razor blade.Has a ruler built in to the top edge.
#4 A modern Craftsman folding utility knife with wood handles and highly polished with removeable blade guard.
