U.S. Combat Knife Utility Lockblade 111mm (black coating)

Just a short write up on this model I got in the mail today. It’s pretty cool in my opinion but unfortunately seems Victorinox discontinued it recently.  Mine has a 2017 tang stamp, and although there’s not a lot of video reviews, I think the vast majority were produced that year from what I’ve seen.

The nicest part in my opinion is the blackout DLC hardware (not sure the exact finish) which only makes me wish Victorinox offered more models at a reasonable price in the DLC. It would look killer on the electric yellow Alox or any other model for that matter.

If you’re interested I picked this up at Cutlery Shoppe and it looks like they’re the last to have it in stock, $70. Cheers

It's not a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating. That would be to costly and not necessary for a field knife.

Mine came today. Also has 17 stamped on the blade.

My other one has 16 on the blade.

National Stock Number NSN – 1095-01-653-1166  A variant of the Soldier's knife.  US military personnel could buy them on their own is my understanding.  Has been available from commercial channels for a while now.  Best wishes.  G
