yeh i tried vinegar for a few days. but it didnt affect it at all. the acid took a couple of days to turn it a dull grey so left it in there longer. oh ill guess sand and polish with a dremel.i was hoping to get the sandblasted look of the SS mp600 tools. maybe they arent sandblasted before BO is applied.
Let's just say I know the feeling of starting to mod a blade with full intention of making it better and ending up with a cluster smurf that haunts your nightmares for years to come... Though, this looks solvable with polishing.
i soaked a serrated blade in spirits of salt(hydrochloric acid i think) for a few days to get rid of black oxide but it came out cloudy looking and rough although still sharp.anyone got any ideas how to get it SS looking again. ive tried vinegar with no luck and would rather not use sandpaper.
So Kingey, how'd it work out? ...
