Busy sort of day, today. The highlight was a trip to the dentist's office, where Mr Dentist discovered that I had a broken filing that he wants to fix. "Your Summer plans will now include some bonding time with me..."

See what he did there...?

I told him he could borrow the Super Tool to pull the tooth, but he seemed to think less dramatic and more sophisticated (and presumably expensive) methods could be employed.

I did find a little time to tie a few fishing flies (A Bird's Nest, which is the name of the fly, not the results of my efforts). ST 300 lacks scissors, so I resorted to some bench scissors.....

What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

Day 25. I used the pliers to remove a small finish nail; the awl to enlarge the hole, and the pliers again to put an eye-bolt in the awl to use to tie back a curtain.

Also, firearms maintenance. I cleaned my 20 gauge Ithaca M-66 Super Single; which I believe is a 1979, the last year they made them.

Hello Day 26
A quick battery replacement on the calculator (hp 33S if anybody is  interested )
They are a very tight fit so the awl is handy.

That's a great read, and I don't know I am more glad to see your dentist is not a MTO member or you are lucky, just imagine him posting his tool next to your tooth :D

Nice, that's something many can only envy from the States side... :D :tu:

Speedy, you think the PE could do a better job than the serrated edge?  I only really like the serration for something harder/firmer, like those hard plastic wrap.

At least you pull out a blade, better than just using the wire cutter... :D

Lost my wrench some time ago, that's been pretty much the only way to get it loose. There is a collar that screws onto the body (replacing the plastic one) that is designed to serve as a wrench; but one, when the collet is on tight, it's useless, and secondly, it's a lot fatter than the stock collar.  And to make matters worse, that's the third wrench I've lost in 5 years.

:like:  A friend of mine has a General Motors M1 from WWII that was his father's. Been thinking about getting one myself, but at $1,000 a little out of my price range. High Standard made guns for both the US military and the JC Higgins line of guns Sears sold from the '30s-50s. Savage made a .22 for Western Auto that was, in fact, the same gun the military used for training.  Those are fairly cheap; most under $200. Granddad has a JC Higgins 12GA that is to some, a better gun than the Remington 870. Can't wait to shoot that one. I can easily get one myself; as it's only about a $125 gun.
