Meh, would really like to join this challenge but in June I am heading into the Alps for a week again and there is no way I will carry such a brick of steel up to >3000m  :dunno:

Not planning this yet, but I cut down my gear when hiking in such altitude.
Would not carry more than my Deluxe Tinker which has been my basic and only too that has been up to 3200m (10.500ft) so far. (And I didnt took the lift, walked up there all myself, usually doing a weeklong hike in the mountains each year).

Maybe a PST, but never a ST/Core  :surrender:

I'm hoping to have a 300 by then, and the OG 100 gifted to me by Thunder eagle.  Either way, this is going to be so much fun!

I'm in.  This is coming in at a time I'll be doing a lot of fence work, and of course carrying my ST300 for that.

I typically stay away from using the blades on my multitool (except my saks). Not entirely sure why. I will attempt to use the ST300 blade exclusively when this challenge rolls around.

Funny you mention that!

I am participating in the March Discontinued Tool challenge and I just mentioned how worthless I find the main blade on my OG Wave.

Now, i love that wave. I have had it since new in 2004. It replaced my beloved PST that I had carried since 1996. Still have the PST.

But using the Wave at work, after now having many SAKs and other fine knives, I realize how crappy the blade actually is on that old Wave!

Going to try my Gen 2 Wave tonight. See how that blade fares. Of course, for this challenge in June, I’ll be using my BO ST300 EOD and I removed the blade on it so I’ll need to carry a knife with me during June.

I love the blades on my Rebar.  They're among the sharpest I've come across.

The PE blade is almost scalpel like in shape and does come very sharp :like:
