Day 10

I think mini axe is dreaming.    :D
Remember what Einstein said about dreaming.  :tu:
Nice shot by the way!

Fuzzaxe Day 10

Got stuck into things today with Fuzzaxe. First I sorted out the firewood and stacked it...

(Image removed from quote.)

Then after that I began the process of making kindling out of old window frames. it's going to take a few days to get through it all, but it'll provide enough kindling for the whole winter... probably.

(Image removed from quote.)

However... after I chopped up the first lot I noticed a brad I'd failed to remove beforehand and I thought to myself, I bet I've hit that... and...

(Image removed from quote.)

... right enough...

(Image removed from quote.)

...I had.

Yikes, that happens.  At the beginning of the challenge, I just found out I got a very tiny nick on each of my axes I wasn't even aware of.

Day10
When is am axe not an axe?
When its a training axe.

Here we have the ColtSteel Trenchhawk Trainer and Black Bear Classic Trainer picture next to the SOG FastHawk and a Glock 81

Love the tactical theme here, first time I heard about a trainer for tomahawk, but it'd make sense if you do want to use it to 'conflict resolve'

I like that mini-axe.  And it doesn't look abused....the way some Scottish axes do these days.....very nice, David.   :tu:

Actually, Fuzzy, I'd finish off the kindling before redoing the edge. If it isn't disrupting you too bad, you could redo the edge and hit another nail...

Aye, I was thinking the same. It's more cosmetic than anything.  :tu:

Day 11

Bit more polish, a shot of the mask I made showing the way I made it fit round the pole, and the state of the handle as it is at the moment. I really need to make a new one

day 11: elixir of life
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Fuzzaxe Day 11

Processed more kindling today...

... rather a lot actually...

... and managed to severe a nail too!  :2tu:...

Still, the old window frames do made rather excellent kindling - not at all sparky.  :tu:

I keep wanting the handle to protrude out past the top of the head a little but apart from that, yes.
