Kandy kakes vs Jaffa cakes...

It's not a contest. I love Jaffa cakes, but they pale in the comparison.....

Fuzzaxe Day 12

Finally finished turning the last of the window frames into kindling - it's now all nicely stored away in the stick shed for the coming winter.

As a reward, I sharpened him up and got rid of all those nasty nicks.

I have to say, I'm quite smitten with this little gem of an axe - he's an excellent and very faithful companion.  :dd:

I agree, Fuzzy, a very nice companion axe so far.  I feel I need to get out and do a bit more wood processing, but at the moment Lyndax is deemed to be a gem.

How'd you sharpen yer axe? File? Stone? Sandpaper?  Drug behind the car for a dozen miles?

Grandpa Nix favored a file followed by a stone. I've been converted to a sandpaper/stone system. (Sounds more impressive if'n you call it a 'system'.)

I'm currently employing the mum's stone I found in the kitchen drawer and I hope she doesn't find out as it's now half gone 'cos I used it to sharpen fuzzaxe... system. It was surprisingly effective, it only took about 10,15 minutes.

Day12
After a very expensive couple days with the garage I am back on the road again tonight.
This also means not much use today.
I did use the SOG to cut down some more chipboard but we've already seen that...So I zipped off the top of a pack of freeze-dried strawberries.
Normally I eat these strait as a snack but if you're eating on the road you can also add these to hot or cold cereals, yogurts, and desserts too.
I often have a packets of strawberries and instant oatmeal in my duffle bag
