Day: 14 (unofficial photo)

I cheated today......

(Image removed from quote.)

While I was at the gun range today, my earplugs broke, leaving the green baffles inside my ear canal. (Not seen in the picture, there are usually two ends to these earplugs: a green full silence end and a yellow end that lets some noise in. When I tried to pull these plugs out, BOTH of the yellow ends came off, leaving the green bits stuck in me ear canals!)

Back in the truck, I couldn't figure out how to use Lyndax to remove just the earplugs, so I resorted to using a Leatherman ST300 to reach into my ears and remove the plugs. This is an unanticipated shortcoming of the axe. Live and learn, I suppose.......
Nice looking Ruger!

Day 15

I brought Bruce to work today. His edge was threatening to slice me up so I wrapped him in electrical tape.

I think one of the reasons for excessive up and down head movement is a hump in the bottom of the eye. I'm in the process of filing it out and tidying up some sharp corners. My hope is that I'll get more head to handle contact all around. This may mean my current handle will no longer fit but if it does I might shorten it and make the hickory the long one. If it doesn't fit then too bad, I guess!

Polls. Bruce doesn't have a very big poll, but it is bigger than a builders hammer or 20 odd ounce ball peen. It's a bit wonky, but I'm not going to bother filing or grinding it

I used a little sandpaper to smooth out some of Lyndax's rough edges in the eye. I think it helped.   :dunno:

No uses today. The Supertool was the only tool I actually used today. And that was just for an emergency medical intervention.....

Nice photos showing the fix.  I think I have a coldsteel tomahawk somewhere, and remembered it used to get loosen from time to time.  Maybe it was a similar reason, or the sharp edges are digging into the handle too much.  I gonna look that up sometime, good call!

day 15: got time? 15 days to go

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Fuzzaxe Day 15

Disappointingly, not much fuzzy axe action today. Still, looks pretty though.
