Day: 16

First thing, Lyndax got stuck right into liberating a package of nuts.

I would have spent the rest of the day stuffing my maw with cashews and hazelnuts, but I also had a squash to roast.....

Again, more of a 'split' than a cut. And I had to be very careful to not let Lyndax veer off to one side or the other. She's definitely not a French chef's knife, but job done.  ;)

How can you call it a squash if you didn't hit it with a hammer?

Fuzzaxe Day 16

Not much happening today axe wise I'm afraid, but without the haft I feel the urge to use it as some kind of woodworking tool. I might have a wee bit of an experiment tomorrow...

Disaster!

Whilst cleaning up in my shed moving stuff around I knocked over the shelf I had my Lansky puck sitting on like a smurfing Smurf and it hit something hard and split in two.

They must use some sort of glue to stick the two grits together so wondering what I should try. Any thoughts, guys?

Not sure what that is. We have a product here called liquid nails, which may be similar to what you are referring to

Tazzie, Liquid nails might do, but a straightforward two-part epoxy would, too.

Could have come from the forging process. Looks to be at the narrowest point. A chainsaw file should get in there without any issues

Yeah i started filing it today, it's an odd one, the ridge is 3-5mm thick and wide round half the eye, under black line in pic, tomorrows job if i get time  :tu:
