I am not going to ask, but are you going to tell?  :pok: :D

Short of it is, I wanted pizza for dinner, Mrs Nix want apple pie for dinner. A Frankenstein of a compromise was made, my crust, here apples, leading to this.....

As you can see, the crust suffered a blow-out, nevertheless, it was darned tasty. I might try making it again.......  :dunno:

Good to hear it kinda work in the end, and at least it is tasty.  My wife was trying to experiment in the kitchen this evening, let's just say I am glad to have a well stocked fridge and more options readily available,,,

Day 27

After a morning in town and an afternoon of mowing, I used Bruce to clear some lower limbs from this apple tree. Not the best tool for the job and I don't know what sort of apple it is. It has multiple trunks and the previous owner had placed a tyre at the base but never took it off or put a cut in it so it could be taken off when the tree got big enough. I need to give it a serious prune and probably reduce the number of trunks, or at least get rid of the limbs crossing through the middle and take some height put of it.
Now it's raining

It’s amazing how trees look so much better when trimmed up.  :tu:

day 27: quite uneventful but today's carry was complementary

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Is there any use welding them together?  Kinda splitting device?

Hydraulic ram pushes the log into the axe heads, there are two to give it more height so i can split bigger logs with less effort  :tu:

Day: 26

Garden is looking lovely, Fuzzy.

Here...... we got 3" of fresh snow.....

(Image removed from quote.)

Lyndax helped prepare dinner this evening, a creation of my own invention, an Apple Pie Calzone. Don't ask.....

(Image removed from quote.)

Yes, that's the veg patch that borders the main garden  - it's a bit of a mess at the moment, but mainly because of the time of year - it looked lovely in June.

The rest of the garden looks not too bad considering its late autumn.

Fuzzaxe Day 27

There's a mass of tree suckers starting to impede light and air getting into the veg patch, so Fuzzaxe (along with a Gomboy and a pair of secateurs) got stuck in...

Bonus pic of a beautiful big ash tree not far from where I was working...

Thank you fellas!

I should point out that I left the old rotten tree (in the first pic) with some of its suckers - it's quite a lovely looking old decrepit thing and the bluetits and wrens are rather fond of it.  :tu:
